This brochure is intended to provide guidelines for levying and recommending authorities’ use in insuring that acceptable advertisement and public notices are done in compliance with State statutes. The brochure includes actual laws, Rules and Regulations adopted by the Department of Revenue, as well as examples of acceptable advertisement and public notice formats. By following these guidelines, counties can be assured that when the digest is submitted, proper compliance has been evidenced by a copy of these advertisements and in turn, a timely Order can be issued by the Department of Revenue authorizing the billing and collection of ad valorem taxes.
