About Unclaimed Property in Georgia - Holders
  • Are holders required to file negative reports?

    • Effective for reporting year 2004 (insurance companies due May 1, 2005) and 2005 (due November 1, 2005) the Georgia Unclaimed Property Program requires holders to file negative reports.  If you have any further questions regarding annual reporting, please e-mail us at ucpmail@dor.ga.gov or phone 404.968.0490.

  • What are the requirements for holders to file information electronically?

    • The State of Georgia has adopted the standard electronic filing format approved by the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators. To access these specifications, contact www.wagers.net/hrs/index.htm.  Holders remitting 25 accounts or more are required to file electronically.
