Effective March 1, 2006, the Department of Revenue began accepting credit cards for payment of corporate income tax due on original Forms 600 and 602ES. The Department began accepting credit cards for payment of individual income tax liabilities and liabilities presented to taxpayers on Georgia Department of Revenue assessment notices on March 8, 2005 and September 19, 2005, respectively. This does not include Property or Motor Fuel Distributor tax types. You may also pay your tax bill with a personal check, cashier's check, or money order. Mail your payment with your return and Payment Voucher Form 525-TV to the address listed on the return . If you have already filed your return, mail your payment with Form 525-TV to the address listed on that form. NOTE: | Credit cards are only accepted as payment for current year individual income tax due on original Forms 500, 500EZ, 500ES, corporate income tax due on original Forms 600 and 602ES,and liabilities presented to taxpayers via Georgia Department of Revenue assessment notices. Credit cards are not accepted at this time for payments associated with extensions or amended returns. INSTALLMENT PAYMENTS Effective October 1, 2006, approval of an installment payment request will require automatic debit from your bank account. If you are unable to pay the full amount of tax due, you may request an installment payment agreement by completing and submitting Form GA 9465. You may mail the form to the Installment Program Section, P.O. Box 740396 , Atlanta , Georgia 30374 - 0396 or e-mail it to ipa@dor.ga.gov . If you need additional information or assistance, contact the Installment Program Section at 404-417-6486. Interest and late payment penalties will apply to any amount not paid by the due date of the return, even if your request to make installment payments is approved. To minimize interest and penalty charges, you are encouraged to pay as much of the tax as possible by April 15.
